Great new features guys. Keep up the good work.
Good stuff! Thanks for implementing my suggestion :).
Dwellicious – YES! That’s what I was waiting for…I like the other feature though. I’m excited that DS is committed to improving their product. Now we just need to have them expand their exposure.
The plugin is currently working. It will show the list of homes, but when I click on a home I get the Page Not Found Error
Sorry, I meant NOT working
@eric a fix is incoming in less than an hour. be on the lookout for 1.1.1
I get same thing “We’re sorry, but we ran into a temporary problem while trying to load the real estate data. Please check back soon.’ please help!
wow now that is service. Jon your post had to be seconds before i sent my previous comment. thanks will watch for 1.1.1
@kevin your issue wasn’t actually with 1.1, it was because your host was doing something silly. I’ve added the fix for your blog, you shouldn’t have a problem anymore
Sounds great! Can’t wait for it to be available in Evergreen, CO (Metnolist)
Love it!
Can you explain further this:
If account has dsSearchAgent Pro: Added ability to have an “advanced” link in Search Widget which leads to a new page with the dsSearchAgent frame auto generated
I like the contact us features. How come it isn’t set up to email me someone has sent me a message? If I go into the control panel it also doesn’t show what the message was they wrote.
@Josette first of all this is only available to customers with both dsIDXpress and dsSearchAgent (for obvious reasons) and secondly, this is somewhat experimental, we’re not sure how far we’re going to go with integration, but we thought this was a simple first start. Go here to one of our demo sites: http://www.daniellecordova.com/ in the right-hand column you see the Search widget? There is an “Advanced” link, you can enable that in the Search Widget Editor. That link will take you to an automagically created page with the dsSearchAgent framed in. As a not, I had to add a One-Column (read: no sidebars) “Template” to this site’s WordPress Theme. That’s something fairly “advanced” and not for the faint of heart.
@Eric I’m looking into this now.
@Eric looks like the email is going out, not sure if @kw.com is spamming it or not. it’s coming from [email protected]
Hey Jon
If we have this – will it automatically update?
@Jim you have to go into your wordpress admin and update the plugin manually
Ok great thank you – Quick question – Can we increase the size of the new photo gallery (both the main image + the thumbnails) using CSS?
It is just very very small
@Jim we’ll consider it. did you notice you can hover over the tiny thumbs to see a slightly larger version? And finally, it would be great if you could drop your ideas off here: community.dsidxpress.com helps keep everyone informed, and possibly gets you more supporters of your ideas 🙂
Hey Jon,
I did just submit something to the community for support – Thanks for the suggestion….Typically when a user clicks on a property on the Search Results Page – they expect to see the MLS details + Larger photos…with the IDXPress you have the MLS Details but the photos in the photo gallery are smaller…
It would just make more sense to have larger photos so they don’t have to click again to get what they need….
This is just my opinion but it seems that being able to edit the size of the photos to whatever size we want would be great…
Thanks
@Jon,
Thanks. I didn’t even think about the filtering. Turns out kw filters a little too well.
Anyone else not getting the data to display – I keep getting an error –
http://www.citymediasource.com
We’re sorry, but we ran into a temporary problem while trying to load the real estate data. Please check back soon. thats the exact error
@jim this is fixed now, sorry about that
Ok great
Thank you
I agree with Jim, larger photos on the Property Detail page would be great… is it possible to increase to the same size as photos on Results screen using “showlargerpictures=true”? those pic sizes are good…
Great update. We’re getting more buyer leads from it already. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future of the plugin.
Have you guys put any thought into allowing the pluggin to show the description of the property (the remarks that the agent rights about the property)….this is visually more appealing, additionally it could increase our clickthrough on this properties…. A local broker int he area (who gets over 10,000 visitors a day) uses this tactic…visit Beangroup.com and check it out…
It also helps fill up some whitespace on the page
I would like to see something that lets you circle an area on a map when you build a link instead of zooming to an area on a map. That way we can target specific neighborhoods.
Anyone there?
I second what Eric asked for. We need to be able to define a mapped area not just by zooming in and out. We need more of a radius search.
Bigger pictures needed! Bounce rate is ridiculous
Am I the only one that thinks the property address should be shown in the body of each IDX listing page — not just in the title bar? Seems like this would be key for SEO in order to properly optimize for the address. Right at the top of the content body, above the property price: a big H1 that has the property address.
Any thoughts?
