We previously talked about what the best settings might be for forced registration on your mapping IDX. While there isn’t a clear-cut answer as to what will work for your specific website and market area, it’s quite easy to customize the registration settings on your mapping IDX and test your results.

You have two options:
- You can set your registration level to “Require on Search Results” – this means that only the # of searches before registration is used.
- You can set your registration level to “Require on Property Details” – this means that both fields are used (# of searches and # of listing views).
Whatever your registration settings, I would test them against a good 1-2 weeks worth of data and site traffic. This way, as you continue to make changes and adjust your registration settings, you can determine the conversion rate on what setup versus another.
